November 2023: MEANINGFUL VIRTUAL MOBILITY. EXPERIENCES FROM THE 4EU+ SHARED ONLINE COURSES

Together with seven other research-intensive European partner universities, Heidelberg University develops new forms of cooperation for the European Higher Education Area in the areas of study, teaching, research, transfer and administration within the 4EU+ Alliance. The focus of the cooperation in the area of study is on the establishment of an appropriate framework for education and the development of innovative formats for a seamless European learning experience from which students and doctoral candidates should benefit. In this context, formats of virtual mobility formats play a crucial role due to their high degree of flexibility and inclusiveness. The talk will outline the challenges and potentials for the development of such an online teaching and learning format, based on the experience of the 4EU+ Alliance with the Shared Online Courses.
