With a focus on Lifelong Learning, the heiSKILLS Competence and Language Centre at Heidelberg University enables the acquisition of individual and interdisciplinary competencies and the development of qualification profiles beyond traditional university studies.

heiSKILLS offers are aimed at different target groups and address important overarching areas. They are offered in various formats, from consultations to courses, seminars, fairs, portals, service and support offers to certificates and e-learning content.

Open up areas of knowledge that complement your studies and are relevant to your profession, acquire new competences and strengthen yourself for the future - with the certificates of the heiSKILLS Competence and Language Centre, it is possible to individually expand your own qualification profile in your studies, in university teaching and in your profession.

The heiSKILLS Fellowships create opportunities for instructors to develop and pilot new teaching, learning, and assessment formats. Inspired by Heidelberg University’s Teaching Mission Statement, they provide space to integrate current scientific and societal challenges into teaching and to design sustainable models for study and learning. Each call focuses on a thematic priority. In this way, the fellowships generate impulses for innovative teaching that connect equity and scientific curiosity with the major challenges of our time.
